As an athlete and an active person, I'm constantly searching for
ways to improve my fitness level, energy level and my overall
sense of well-being. In my search, I have tested and tried various
methods of eating and I have come to realize that certain foods I
eat make me feel and look great while others simply make
me feel miserable and slow me down.
Our bodies have an internal thinking mechanism that has been
developed over thousands of years. At times this "internal
wisdom" conflicts with our rational modern day thinking
which is easily manipulated by clever advertising and the
availability of fast foods - causing a "battle" between what
we crave versus what we need.

The most common reason for experiencing cravings is due to a
low blood sugar level. When our blood sugar level is low, we get
hungry and we easily fall into the "see food" diet......everything
we see we want to eat. In fact, at times we become so unaware
of what's in front of us that we don't even realize when we
consume an entire bag of potato chips until it's empty and staring

The Traffic Light Approach to selecting the right foods
In the GREEN category he has put the foods
from all food groups that is EXCELLENT for
you! When you stick with the foods from this
group you will archive unbelievable
results!GREEN means GO - "step on the gas"
and EAT! You are safe!
In the YELLOW category you find food that is
GOOD for you that you can eat as long as a
large portion of your foods comes from the
GREEN category. YELLOW means "take your
foot off the gas" and proceed with CAUTION
RED are foods that you must avoid. This food
is damaging to your health and have very
little or no nutritional value. You can
however if you normally stay in the GREEN
and YELLOW allow some "treats" from the
RED (ice cream, chocolate etc.) When you
see food from this group my suggestion is
"step on the BREAKS" and STOP!"
Do the right thing for your body. Give it the foods it was
designed for, so it can perform all the important functions it
needs in order to keep you healthy and protect you against
diseases and illnesses.

What is most important to you? Your health
